Luck of the Labs Fundraiser Raffle Official Rules

This drawing (“raffle”) is sponsored by Sunshine State Labrador Rescue, Inc. a Florida nonprofit corporation that is tax-exempt under IRS Section 501(c)(3).

Eligibility

This raffle is open to individuals 18 years of age or older. Officers of Sunshine State Labrador Rescue and their immediate families are not eligible to win.

How to Enter

No purchase is necessary to win. You may enter the raffle by following the instructions below titled “Free Entry Method (No Purchase Necessary)” or by making a suggested minimum donation of $20 on the Luck of the Labs Raffle Tickets page at https://sunshinestatelabrescue.org/luck-of-the-labs-tickets/

Website Entry Method (Donation-based):

Each $20 donation made on the Luck of the Labs Raffle Tickets page entitles the donor to (1) raffle entry.  For each five (5) $20 donations, the donor will automatically receive one (1) free raffle entry. There is no limit to the number of donation-based entries.

Free Entry Method (No Purchase Necessary):

Donating is optional and each entry’s chance of winning is the same. To enter the drawings without donating, mail your name, email, phone number, and mailing address to:

Mail-in entries must be received by March 31, 2026.  Incomplete entries will not be accepted.

Limit one mail-in entry per person.

Drawing Period

The raffle begins March 1, 2026 and ends March 31, 2026. Each day’s drawing will be completed between 8 and 9 pm Eastern and posted before 10 am the following day.  Winners do not need to be present to win.

Prize Details

  • One (1) prize of a $50 gift card will be awarded each day in March.
  • The Grand Prize will be drawn on March 31st at the normal drawing time.
  • Drawings for additional prizes will be held based on prize availability.
  • Prize winners will be randomly selected from all eligible entries (paid and free) received up until the time of the drawing.
  • Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
  • Prizes for the Luck of the Labs raffle were all donated specifically for the raffle and are not sourced from the rescue’s general fund.

Winner Selection

Winners will be selected by random drawing once per day. The drawing is performed by electronic means on the Sunshine State Labrador Rescue website.

Each entry remains eligible until the entry wins or the raffle ends. Winners will be notified by email or phone within 48 hours of selection.  If Sunshine State Labrador Rescue representatives are unsuccessful in contacting the winners through electronic means, a notification will be mailed to the physical mailing address provided.

Public Announcements

Winner’s names and town/cities will be published on the Sunshine State Labrador Rescue Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/SunshineStateLabRescue.

Restrictions

  • The raffle will not be conducted by means that predetermine winners.
  • No entry fee, donation, or proof of purchase is required to enter or win.
  • All prizes offered will be awarded as described.
  • No participant will be discriminated against based on donation status.
  • The raffle will not be canceled after promotion begins.

Mermaid Cottages Getaway Grand Prize Rules

  • Prize includes two nights in a Mermaid Cottages home on Tybee Island, Georgia.
  • Home will be a 2-bedroom (sleeps 4) pet friendly home.  The specific home will be confirmed 10 days before arrival and may be upgraded to a larger home based on availability. Amenities like ground level and fenced yard cannot be guaranteed until 10 days before arrival.
  • Based on availability.  Blackout dates apply.  No cash value.  Non-transferable. Transportation not included. Make reservation in advance to confirm dates.
  • Blackout dates: Labor Day weekend Sept 4-6th, Pirate Fest Weekend Oct 9th -11th, Thanksgiving Weekend Nov 26th- 29th.
  • The Tybee beaches are NOT pet friendly and if a dog (or cat) is caught, they will ticket you. No warnings.

Marriott Palm Beach Gardens Prize Rules

  • Enjoy a complimentary two (2) night stay at the participating property.
  • Stay is subject to availability and blackout dates may apply. No cash value. Non-transferable. Transportation not included. Additional nights and incidentals are the responsibility of the winner. Reservation details will be provided upon winner notification.

General Conditions

By entering, participants agree to be bound by these official rules and the decisions of Sunshine State Labrador Rescue. Sunshine State Labrador Rescue reserves the right to modify the raffle if necessary.

This raffle is conducted in compliance with Florida law governing nonprofit drawings by chance, including Florida Statute § 849.0935.

Hold Harmless and Liability Waiver

I understand and acknowledge that participation in the Sunshine State Labrador Rescue Luck of the Labs Raffle (the “Event”) may involve inherent risks, including but not limited to personal injury, illness, property damage, or other losses that may arise from travel, lodging, activities, use of the premises, or interactions with other guests or animals.

In consideration for being permitted to participate in the Event, I, on behalf of myself, my heirs, assigns, personal representatives, and any guests accompanying me, hereby voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation.

I agree to release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless Sunshine State Labrador Rescue, Inc. (SSLR), including its officers, directors, board members, employees, volunteers, agents, representatives, successors, and assigns, from any and all claims, demands, actions, causes of action, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses of any kind, whether known or unknown, arising out of or related to my participation in the Event, including claims based on negligence.

I acknowledge and agree that I will follow all rules, policies, instructions, and guidelines provided by Mermaid Cottages, including those related to occupancy, pets, safety, use of amenities, and conduct during the stay. I understand that failure to follow these rules may result in removal from the property or additional charges imposed by Mermaid Cottages, for which SSLR bears no responsibility.

I acknowledge that I am responsible for my own conduct and safety, and for the conduct and safety of any guests accompanying me.

This waiver is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the State of Florida. If any portion of this agreement is held to be invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

I acknowledge that participation in any drawings, raffles, or giveaways associated with the Event, including daily gift card giveaways, is voluntary. I agree that Sunshine State Labrador Rescue, Inc. (SSLR) is not responsible for lost, stolen, damaged, or unused gift cards, nor for any taxes, fees, or limitations associated with their use.

By participating in the Event, I confirm that I have read this Hold Harmless and Liability Waiver, understand its terms, and voluntarily agree to be legally bound by it.
