Do you have room in your heart and home for a Labrador in need? Sunshine State Labrador Rescue is seeking compassionate foster moms, dads, and families to provide temporary care, love, and stability to Labradors waiting for their forever homes. Fostering is one of the most rewarding ways to make a direct impact.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe, nurturing home environment for a Labrador Retriever
- Offer daily care including feeding, exercise, and affection
- Transport the dog to veterinary appointments as needed (visits covered by SSLR)
- Communicate with our team about the dog’s behavior, health, and personality
- Help prepare the dog for a successful adoption by offering patience, structure, and love
- Supply photos and personality information for the dog’s online bio.
- Talk to potential adopters about the suitability of your foster dog to their home
- Allow approved potential adopters to visit with your foster dog to determine if they are a match
Requirements:
- Must be 18+ years old and reside in Florida
- Ability to provide a stable, pet-friendly home
- Commitment to the dog’s care until adoption (timeframe varies by dog)
- Willingness to work with a rescue dog that may need training, patience, or medical care
