Meet Shelby — Your Loyal Adventure Partner

Shelby is a beautiful 6-year-old, 50-pound black Lab with a heart as big as her energy level. She greets each day ready for action, whether that’s chasing her favorite ball, splashing in the pool, taking a walk, or simply being close to her people. She is deeply loyal, attentive, and forms strong bonds with those she loves.

Shelby thrives in a home where she is part of the daily rhythm. She is happiest with people who are home often, engaged, and excited to include her in their lives. She is an active girl who truly shines when she has space to run, play fetch, and enjoy the outdoors. A fenced yard is ideal, and a swimming pool would be her version of paradise.

Shelby would do incredibly well with an outdoors-oriented family, or with someone who could give her a purpose or “job,” such as retrieving, hiking, or hunting. She is intelligent, capable, and eager to engage both mentally and physically.

Shelby is wonderfully tolerant and gentle with children and has a steady, loving temperament. She would do best as the primary dog in the home, but she can coexist nicely with a smaller or more docile dog who does not compete with her for activity, attention, or toys. She thrives most when she feels secure in her place and deeply connected to her people.
