Schedule of Fees

Application Fee

To ensure we dedicate volunteer time to serious adopters, we charge a small application processing fee. Significant effort is involved in reviewing applications, conducting home visits, and making thoughtful matches between Labradors and adopters. The fee shows us that you’re committed and ready to engage in the adoption process.  The application fee must be paid before your application is reviewed.

$25

The application fee is nonrefundable and is applied toward your adoption fees if you adopt a dog from us.

Adoption Fees

Adoption fees are used to fund the rescue’s mission and mostly go toward medical expenses of the dogs.

Puppies – $475  (8 weeks through 9 months)

Adult – $400  (10 months through 7 years)

Senior – $225 – (8 years + )

Online adoption fee payments will incur a 3% service charge.

Per Florida Statute 823.15(3) SSLR collects a $50 spay/neuter deposit for any dog adopted prior to sterilization.  The deposit is refunded after proof of sterilization by a licensed veterinarian.
